The PS4 version of Watch Dogs will feature the “best graphics” on any console, Sony has claimed.
The upcoming Ubisoft game will boast a 1080p resolution along with running at 60fps, a banner on PlayStation.com states. The banner, titled ‘The True Watch_Dogs Experience. Only on PlayStation 4,” reads: “The world of Watch_Dogs comes alive on PS4 with the best graphics on any console and exclusive missions found only on PlayStation. Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago’s underground as you experience Watch_Dogs in a way that only PS4 can provide, at 60 Frames Per Second in 1080p.”
Ubisoft has yet to confirm the details regarding the game’s resolution and frame rate on any platform, though cinematics animation lead Lars Bonde has previously suggested that the game will run at “full HD” on PS4, with no claims as to how the game will differ on the Xbox One. It is currently rumored that Watch Dogs on the Xbox One will run at 960p, and while this certainly seems like a reasonable suggestion, it has yet to be confirmed by either Microsoft or Ubisoft.
Watch Dogs will release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 27th, with a Wii U version of the game coming to Nintendo’s console in Q4 2014.
