Twitch has evolved to become not only a way for gamers to share their gaming experiences, but also their lives. In the case of popular streamer Sajedene, it meant documenting a live robbery.
Sajedene has been a Dota 2 streamer for a long time, but last night night was unlike any other. Shortly after midnight, viewers could see her leave the room after apparently hearing a loud noise. A man dressed in a long shirt weilding a handgun then emerged in the room apparently looking for items of value to steal.
The invasion involved two perpetrators, both of which broke into the home with weapons. They were unknowing of the camera in the room which documented several minutes of the incident, which triggered a real-life friend to call the police. When police arrived, they saw one suspect who promptly fled the scene. He was detained after a short foot chase and is currently in custody, but the second perpetrator is on the loose.
Sajedene shared on Twitter that she was going to begin streaming at midnight last night, shortly before the event. Although nobody was injured, she was shaken up by the incident.
