Rob Zombie came back to the viral news site Reddit today for an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session to promote his crowd-funded new film 31, but things went terribly awry when it became clear that the horror-rocking funk-metal master was cruise-controlling his involvement – if he was involved at all. The Rob Zombie Reddit experiment was a non-starter, with Rob’s answers mostly ranging between two and four flippant words apiece. A positive result could not have been expected.
At publishing time, the following run of comments were the top-voted in the AMA, illustrating the clusterf*ck of organization involved in getting the conversation off the ground in the first place:
While there have been a great many excellent AMAs throughout the features run, a good amount of absolute trainwrecks have also taken place (here’s lookin’ at you, Woody Harrelson.) All the same, it appears that a host gets out what they put into an AMA, and Rob may have simply been a little lacking in format familiarity.
Later, he expressed apparent regret over the conversational dud.
Yeah, you think?
