Shannon Noll has made an ‘interesting’ comeback at game 1 of State of Origin at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night. The crowd were silently wondering what it was they were listening to in the pre-match performance.
Twitter was not so silent. Noll was smashed for his rendition of ‘We Can’t Be Beaten’ sung in a battle with Wonderland’s Ben Mingay. The cover of Rose Tattoo’s hit was screeched and squawked much to the disappointment of all involved.

Surely the game's greatest showpiece can spend some coin and get someone better than Shannon Bloody Noll. #origin

In a comeback that seems destined to be forgotten, one can only hope that Noll hasn’t done any permanent damage to the Australian ‘hard man’ rock image. I don’t think Angry Anderson would feel too threatened.
UPDATE 29/05/15: Angry Anderson is pissed off about Shannon Noll’s State Of Origin performance, and has gone on a rant targeting the NRL, Guy Sebastian, Bon Jovi, and, of course, Shannon Noll.
