Exclusive: Marco With Love Rock ‘Poor Young and Gifted’ (Song + Video Premiere)

A brand new EP is on the way from Marco With Love, and the NYC-based rockers are ramping up the excitement for Tidal Wave with an exclusive song+video premiere on CraveOnline. The breeze-rockers, who call back to a reverb-laced 70s folk enchantment with a passion in the vein of Deer Tick or Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, will deliver their latest offering on July 17th – but you can have a taste of “The Poor Young & Gifted” below, three weeks ahead of release.

Tidal Wave was co-produced by Anthony “Rocky” Gallo at Virtue and Vice Studios in Brooklyn, where artists like John Legend, Norah Jones, Common, Matt and Kim, Andrew Bird, and many more have made records. The 4-song record will be the follow-up release to 2014’s widely embraced single “Love,” and will be the debut of the first collaborative effort with the newly formed lineup. Born as a solo project in mid 2013, Marco With Love has evolved into a dynamic foursome featuring Peter Landi (Drums), Subodh Samudre (Bass), and Blaine O’Brien (Pedal Steel). The record also includes a Townes Van Zandt cover recorded and mixed by Terry Derkach at VRTCL Entertainment New York, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

“When we were writing and recording the songs on this EP, it was the first time the band was able to really dig in and work collaboratively on new material,” says vocalist Marco Argiro. “With all our influences and experiences, it gave us the opportunity to push ourselves beyond the boundaries of traditional country and folk music by blending it with classic R&B and adding a touch of psychedelia in order to create our own special blend of rock n’ roll.”

Check out the premiere of “The Poor Young & Gifted” via live-action video below, exclusively on CraveOnline:

The “Tidal Wave” single will be available for purchase on June 30th, and fans will be able to purchase the full EP on iTunes and other digital retailers on July 17th. For more information on Marco With Love, visit their official site, Facebook and Twitter.
