Shockingly, Kanye West played nice at FYF Fest in Los Angeles over the weekend, saving the day on Saturday after an increasingly frustrating Frank Ocean cancelled his headlining slot at the last minute. Eschewing his traditional egomaniacal ranting sessions (which can go on for 20-plus minutes as we learned at Bonnaroo last year), the rapper positively decimated the stage for the L.A. crowd, even bringing Rihana up for an unexpected performance (even for her).
Few people seemed more surprised to see Rihanna take to the stage than Ri herself, who was merely rocking out in the crowd before Ye gave her a microphone. Fans were treated to a duet of “FourFiveSeconds,” and to follow Rihanna actually jumped onstage so she could sing her parts in “All of the Lights”.
