You Probably Won’t Be Able to Run Star Wars Battlefront on the Recommended PC Settings

The specs for Star Wars Battlefront on PC have been revealed on the game’s Origin page, and it looks like many PC gamers will be forced to run it below the specs recommended by developers DICE.

The update to the game’s Origin store page revealed that it will need a whopping 16GB RAM in order to run on its recommended settings, with it requiring a sizable 8GB RAM in order to run on its minimum settings. With most modern PCs typically boasting 8GB RAM as standard, it’s surprising that this is the entry point to run the game.

Its graphics card requirements are comparatively high, too. While a GTX 660 is slowly becoming the standard minimum requirement as we progress past the previous console generation and onto more graphics intensive games, a GTX 970 being the recommended graphics card will certainly leave a few out in the cold. Then there’s the matter of its recommended processor being the Intel i5 6600, also known as the Skylake, a processor that hasn’t even been on the market for that long.
