The excitement of summer impending has just officially become too much to handle with news that a the world’s largest slip ‘n slide is coming to cities all around Australia in early 2016
The temporary 300m slide will be arriving in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in January 2016 while Brisbane will have to wait until April because they have been gifted with a much longer summer than the rest of us. Wollongong, Townsville, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bendigo and Newcastle are listed as coming soon on the slide’s website.
You’ll be able to slide your way right through the heart of the city for $35 which will most likely become your favourite mode of transport from that point forth. Unfortunately it won’t be a permanent thing because the government prefers to spend its transport budget on trains, buses and trams rather than giant slip ‘n slides. Pfft, whatever.
Slide The City have posted a video to their Facebook which basically shows what you’re in for and it looks magical. You can slide down on donuts, boogie boards or on your bum – whichever way you’d prefer.
