Trust Daft Punk to come up with a way to turn their merchandise into news, the helmeted robots having just released another series of vintage style ads for their new range of merchandise.
Echoing a diverse range of ’70s and ’80S influences (obviously referencing their last album Random Access Memories and its throwback to ’70s funk and disco) from early hip hop culture in New York to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 : A Space Odyssey you can check out the ads for yourself throughout the article.

Releasing a series of similar images to coincide with the merchandising ranges launched off the back of 2013’s Random Access Memories, the duo have just released a small collection of new pieces including BearBrick figurines modelled after the robots, a hoodie, a pen and a button pack.
These new additions join the very impressive range released last year that also includes a New Era hat, a yo-yo, pins, stickers, posters and even Christmas decorations. My personal favourite though would have to be the frisbee, available in black of glow in the dark.
With all the merch available on their website, you can peruse the ads from this and the last collection via the new Instagram account they’ve set up for them. In the meantime though, here are the rest of the ads for the new merch range.
