L.A.’s Magic Giant recently released their ethereal new single “Set on Fire,” and today the song is taken to new heights through a very cool session clip of the band performing the track in a converted bomb shelter, premiered exclusively on Crave.
The group have built a reputation for infectious sing-alongs and cathartic live experiences, framed around traditional folk instruments with a heft of drums and rhythm to construct a rousing, psychedelically laced sound all their own. Comprised of Austin Bis on lead vocals, Zambricki Li on banjo and violin and Brian Zaghi on bass and cello, the band self-produced their debut EP, notably featuring Rashawn Ross of Dave Matthews Band and Spencer Ludwig of Capital Cities. After being featured on Spotify’s New Music Tuesday, Billboard’s ‘Artist on the Verge,’ and NPR’s Songs We Love, the guys are currently working on their sophomore EP from their studio in Silver Lake, California.
It’s that same converted old 1940’s bomb shelter that serves as the backdrop for today’s premiere of “Set on Fire”. Check it out below, exclusively on Crave:
