Last week, History launched Night Class, a new late night comedy block. And as one of the first new series on the block, Community creator Dan Harmon is starring as himself in Great Minds with Dan Harmon. The premise for the show is that Harmon built a time machine that allows him to bring anyone from history into the present. In the first episode, his guest was Ludwig van Beethoven, as played by Jack Black. This week, Harmon’s guest will be one of the greatest American writers: Ernest Hemingway!
In CraveOnline’s exclusive scene from Great Minds with Dan Harmon episode 2, 30 Rock and Big Hero 6 veteran Scott Adsit portrays Hemingway, as he prods Harmon for information about how he passed away. And despite the rather grim way that Hemingway departed from this world, he seems to take the news well. Perhaps too well…
Hemingway is not only into his own suicide, he’s strangely proud of it! Although, that doesn’t sound too far fetched from Hemingway’s persona. And it seems to be a Great Minds tradition to check wikipedia for historical accuracy.
Future episodes of Great Minds with Dan Harmon will have Jason Sudeikis as Thomas Edison, Kristen Schaal as Amelia Earhart, along with guest appearances by Aubrey Plaza and Dana Carvey.
