I officially crowned Steph Curry the best basketball player on the planet last month. A month in which he averaged more than 30 points a game and had this insane buzzer-beater to defeat the OKC Thunder.
He also had a 5-game stretch that read like this: 41.6 ppg / 6.6 apg / 5.4 rpg / 55% 3P / 3.6 TOPG.
Insane.
Monday also happens to be Curry’s 28th birthday. He not only had the cutest joint b-day party with his wife, Ayesha, in which the party wore matching black hoodies, it caps off one of the best winters a player has ever had in the history of the NBA.
Below are my favorite highlights from Curry over just the past month — highlights that have equivocally crowned him not just the most popular player in the NBA right now, but probably the best player in the world.
46 points @ Thunder, NBA record 12 three-pointers
Ties record for most threes in a game … ever.
51 points @ Magic, 10 more three-pointers.
Curry breaking Kyle Korver’s NBA record by scoring a 3-pointer in his 128th straight game.
Or how about another record…
41 points @ Magic, first player to hit 300 threes in a season
Happy birthday, Steph. Can’t wait to see year 28 …
29 …
30….
31…
32…
