Jimmy Fallon‘s lip sync battle has seen him take-on everyone from Lena Dunham to Ellen Degeneres but never has he seen fiercer competition than Melissa McCarthy.
McCarthy stepped up to the plate against an on-form Fallon, taking it to the streets with DMX’s X Gon’ Give It To Ya before channeling her inner-Disney princess with Colours Of The Wind from Pocahontas.
Complete with a wind machine and falling confetti, the comedian and actress gave Fallon one of its most glorious moments in the history of lip sync battles. In front of an autumn backdrop she battled water and flying herons to emerge victorious. By the end of the performance she was covered in confetti and glitter but it was okay because she was wearing safety-glasses, a technique more wind machine-battling popstars should use.
McCarthy didn’t completely wipe the floor with Fallon though, in fact, he wiped the floor himself. He took on ZAYN’s Pillowtalk from the floor, clutching a pillow as he attempted to be sexy with varying results.
Fallon’s lip sync battle segment has been so successful that it’s actually its own show now, hosted by Chrissy Teigen and LL Cool J.
