Seems that Johnny “Jack Sparrow” Depp may still be holding a grudge against the Australian government over the whole #DogGate saga, the Hollywood star throwing some shade our way at a recent press conference.
Out promoting his upcoming film Alice Through The Looking Glass, Deep couldn’t hold back his comments. Channeling Edward Scissorhands when he made the cutting remarks, Depp went off the press junket script saying:
“I would *really* like to apologize for not smuggling my dogs into England, because it would have been bad thing to do,” he told the crowd of press and fans.
This won’t be the last time either according to Depp, who promised he’s going to do this in every country before giving his little speech. We assume he means non-apologising, otherwise, this is the worst secret dog smuggling operation ever.
Clearly infuriated by his treatment at the hands of our great nation, the actor’s ire led to him to continue on the shade train, although he was wise enough not to finish his thoughts.
“Because the Australians – though chipper – and, y’know, kind of – you know, they’re chipper, and they’re…”
We’re what mate? A bunch of people with no functioning sense of perspective when it comes to border security?
But enough about Barnaby Joyce and the Liberal Party.
Anyway, as much as we may poke fun at our red-faced Deputy Prime Minister, we have to give him credit where credit is due.
He did get Depp to give his most convincing performance since Pirates 2.
