The internet has taken kindly to the rumored coupling of two Game Of Thrones misfits. Now the relationship between Brienne and Tormund has been made about official as internet-ly possible with the pair now laying claim to their own ’90s themed RomCom.
Fit for a 2016 audience, the RomCom from Nerdist has been titled #Briemund and provides some stunning insight into the psychology behind such an unconventional tryst. Underneath the armor / wool, they’re just two humans trying to find their way in the world, like you or me and #Briemund celebrates this.
Maybe it’s the torrent of pain, bloodshed and loss that Game Of Thrones has sent our way recently, or maybe it’s our own desire to catch the gaze of a untamed Wilding as we ride horseback through the gates of Castleblack, but the courtship of Brienne of Tarth and Tormund Giantsbane has gained a lot of momentum off very little screen time.
Of course, GOT fanfic was 10 steps ahead of the whole thing but one area seems to remain uncharted: Fanfic between known Wilding / Tormund body double Mastadon’s Brent Hinds and Brieanne.
