As we saw in this week’s FF #16, The Human Torch Johnny Storm – recently returned from multiple deaths in the Negative Zone with possession of Annihilus’ Cosmic Control Rod and, as such, dominion over the Zone itself – has decided to do something different with his new lease on life. Apparently, that meant becoming roommates with Peter Parker, somewhat to Spider-Man’s chagrin. What does writer Jonathan Hickman have in store for these two goofballs?
Apparently, shenanigans that are a hair’s breadth away from being gay, if Johnny’s speedo underwear is any indication. These images alone are the kinds of things that really tend to get the fangirls reveling in imagined subtext. Could the world be ready for a bisexual Spider-Man? Or is the Human Torch going to just become the Human Wheatcake Machine?
