SXSW 2014: We’ll Never Have Paris – Co… by CraveOnline
Audiences know Simon Helberg from his starring role on “The Big Bang Theory,” but they’re about to learn a whole lot more. We’ll Never Have Paris debuted as SXSW 2014, it was written by Simon Helberg, co-directed by Helberg and his wife Jocelyn Towne, and it tells the story of their calamitous break up. The fact that they’re still together, and that she’s very much pregnant, may or may not qualify as a spoiler.
In this video interview, co-directors Simon Helberg and Jocelyn Towne are in front of an elevator for some reason and talking about We’ll Never Have Paris, picking a fight with Casablanca, the true and nearly disastrous story of their break up, reliving those events on set, Simon Helberg’s awkward experience of pitching the film before he told his wife about it, laying his soul bare on the page, the things they don’t want to know about each other, the liberties they took with the story and more.
