The democratization of the film industry is nothing but a good thing. With the advancement of home computing power and the amazing technical tools now available at bargain-basement prices, a tech-savvy filmmaker can even create the trappings of an effects-heavy summer blockbuster movie on a micro budget.
Case in point: this cool new fan film Battlefield 4: Through My Eyes. The guys from the YouTube channel The Two Scotsmen put this together, a very nifty opening chapter showing events from Battlefield 4 from a third-person perspective.
As Crave gaming site Destructoid points out, while exposition isn't really the goal of this first part, it is a pretty impressive piece of technical work laying this whole sequence together.
