Telltale has finally revealed some next-gen plans: to release existing games, that is. The company announced via blog post that both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us will find their way to PS4 and Xbox One. As for a release date, it’s not yet exact, but a timeframe has been nailed down.
Today, we can confirm that The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – Season One, The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series – Season Two and The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. Furthermore, The Walking Dead – Season Two and The Wolf Among Us will be released as retail discs for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 following their continuing success as digital downloads.
For someone like myself who’s largely missed out on Telltale’s renowned graphic adventures, getting up to speed via next-gen editions may be the perfect way to catch up. The games are already available for preorder, with Telltale noting that exact release dates will be confirmed “soon.” As long as they stick to 2014, I’d say it’s plenty soon enough.
