VIDEO: Yu Darvish Tosses 59 MPH Curveball, Makes Adam LaRoche Look Silly

Yu Darvish is already one of the nastiest pitchers in the majors.  The Texas Rangers ace has wicked stuff, notching fastballs in the high 90s on the speed gun that have helped him pass the 500-strikeout mark faster than any other pitcher in Major League history.

Which makes what he did to Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche on Sunday just criminally evil.  But genius.  And also hilarious.

As reported by Crave sports site NESN, Darvish put two strikes on the Nationals masher before unleashing a wild, looping change-of-pace 59 mph curveball that not only dropped three feet over the plate like a rock, but froze LaRoche for a called strike three.

Mind you, Darvish did nothing illegal — or even unethical — here.  Changing speeds and getting hitters off balance is the mark of top-notch pitchers.

But, c'mon, Yu…don't hurt 'em. LaRoche looked like a deer in the headlights on a pitch so slow it looks like your little sister could have caught up with it.

But she wouldn't.  Because it was filthy.  And evil.  Damn…
