I Slept With A Celebrity Reality Show In The Works

The man responsible for bringing the Real Housewives franchise into the cultural zeitgeist is now throwing any remaining semblance of tact out the window, with Bravo’s Andy Cohen rumored to be developing the rather self-explanatory “un-scripted” series, I Slept With A Celebrity.

In an unnecessary attempt to explain the show’s premise, The Hollywood Reporter says each weekly episode of I Slept With A Celebrity will see two guests “dishing about how their brush with fame led to a walk of shame.”

Presumably to take place in a formal, knights of the round-table like setting, the guests will provide details on “where they met, where they went and what they wore, or didn’t wear.” Because they were naked. Naked in the company of “celebrities”, which is why they need to discuss it on TV.

“A one-night stand is usually nothing to brag about, but what if the person you slept with is famous?” adds the show’s pitch. While the title is outrageous, the concept isn’t really a huge departure from a “genre” of television that has birthed a legion of stars to whom fame has been transferred via sexual encounters with already “famous” people and who subsequently get their own series to harp on about it.

According to THR, who broke the story, the “un-scripted show” is currently being shopped around to various networks, and is being spruiked by Cohen himself. He has spent the past decade not only producing the Real Housewives franchise, but also such cultural gems as The Millionaire Matchmaker and hosting Watch What Happens Live, which makes him undeniably experienced for the task at hand.
