Everyone knows it’s always better on the big screen, including HBO Canada and Cineplex, who have teamed up to bring the Season 4 finale to select theatres across the country.
Admission is $10, which includes a free ticket to the event, a $10 concession voucher, a preview of upcoming programming and a draw for “Game of Thrones'” prizes, courtesy of HBO Home Entertainment and Random House of Canada. The “Game of Thrones” Season 4 Finale Fan Event will simulcast the HBO Canada broadcast of the season finale, Sunday, June 15th at 9pm in 29 participating Cineplex locations in Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
“’Game of Thrones’ is unparalleled event television, so we are excited to offer the series’ die-hard fans an opportunity to come together to experience the season’s final episode,” said Jon Arklay, Senior Vice-President at Bell Media Agency for Brand, Creative and Marketing, in a press release. “Our aim all season long has been to market ‘Game of Thrones’ on the level of a massive theatrical release, so we are thrilled to partner with Cineplex to bring this cinematic, epic series to the big screen.”
With an average audience of nearly 1.3 million viewers, the fourth season of “Game of Thrones” has broken all viewership records for HBO Canada, making it the most-watched series in Canadian pay television history.
