Die-hard “True Blood” fans will be excited (and saddened) to know that the seventh and final season of the wildly successful vampire show is getting ready to premiere June 22nd on HBO Canada.
At the conclusion of Season 6, the town of Bon Temps braced itself for a new crisis that would threaten humans and vampires alike: Sookie (Anna Paquin, “Susanna”) was forced to take a hard look at her future: Bill (Stephen Moyer, “Jan”) discovered that salvation comes at a price, and Eric’s (Alexander Skarsgård, “Generation Kill”) ultimate fate remained a mystery. Now, as the series kicks off its final season, a band of rogue H-vamps crashes the vampire-human mixer at Bellefleur’s, with shocking results; Sookie seeks refuge from accusations that she’s somehow to blame for the chaos in Bon Temps; the “one vampire for every human” plan moves forward; and in the face of a vigilante insurrection led by redneck Vince (Brett Rickaby, “Dexter”), Bill receives aid from an unexpected source.
The critically acclaimed series joins HBO’s can’t-miss summer programming along with previously announced new series “The Leftovers,” “The Knick,” and the new Canadian dramedy “Sensitive Skin.”
The final season of “True Blood” begins on HBO Canada June 22nd at 9pm.
