Tomorrow marks the release of “Boardwalk Empire” Season 4 on DVD and Blu-ray ahead of the fifth season premiere on HBO on Sunday, September 7.
Both versions of Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Fourth Season will include all 12 episodes from the fourth season as well as audio commentaries on six episodes, a behind-the-scenes look at The Onyx Club and spotlight featurettes on Richard Harrow, Dr. Valentin Narcisse, Roy Phillips, Agent Knox, Sally Wheet, Frank and Ralph Capone and Daughter Maitland. The Blu-ray will have a few exclusive bonus features including the interactive Boardwalk Chronicle that offers an in-episode historical guide to characters and locations as well as the “Boardwalk Empire” PaleyFest Q&A with the cast and crew of the series.

HBO has provided CraveOnline with one of the Blu-ray special features, Scouting the Boardwalk, which explores how several of the iconic settings were created for the series. In this exclusive clip, “Boardwalk Empire” Location Manager Audra Gorman looks back at the creation of the Conors & Gould Brokerage Office from episode seven, which served as the place where Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald) encountered Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg), a rival of her ex-husband, Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi).
“Boardwalk Empire” will hit DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, August 19.
