Little by little, Uncanny Avengers is catching up to the rest of the Marvel Universe.
Next week’s Uncanny Avengers # 23 reveals why Rogue, Scarlet Witch and the rest of the presumably dead members of the team were gone while showing Steve Rogers at his true age following the loss of his powers in Captain America.
And in this first look at Uncanny Avengers # 24, we see Rogue say goodbye to Wolverine as he presumably goes off to die in The Death of Wolverine. But before Rogue can get too misty eyed about her old friend, the Red Skull’s S-Men come back for a rematch for the first time since the initial Uncanny Avengers storyline.
Uncanny Avengers writer Rick Remender will be joined by veteran X-Men artist Salvador Larroca on this issue as Rogue, Havok and Scarlet Witch are taken to Genosha and held prisoner by the Red Skull. It’s the March to Axis and it begins on Wednesday, September 17.
