Giving more ammunition to one side of the eighth generation console resolution wars, Sledgehammer Games (developers of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare) has confirmed that Microsoft’s Xbox One renders their latest title at a native resolution (1360 x 1080) that only approaches about 70 percent of the full 1920 x 1080 frame being achieved on Sony’s PlayStation 4; it will still display on the Xbox One in the full 1920 x 1080 frame on your television by way of upscaling.
Sledgehammer Games did make a point of reiterating that the game does still run at a solid 60fps on both consoles.
Thanks once again to Crave’s Game Revolution for the heads up on this development.
