“Five-card stud, nothing wild… and the sky’s the limit.”
One of the recurring scenes throughout “Star Trek: The Next Generation” was the frequent poker games between the crew of the Enterprise… with one exception: Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart).
Picard’s first time at the poker game was wisely saved for the very last scene of the show in “All Good Things,” the two hour series finale of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” This week, “Star Trek: The Next Generation: All Good Things” is being released as a standalone Blu-ray alongside the release of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” Season 7 on Blu-ray.
In this exclusive clip from the “All Good Things” Blu-ray, Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn reflect on the final poker game and their last days on the set of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” And one of them admitted to being highly emotional about it at the time.
In “All Good Things,” Picard suddenly finds his consciousness moving from the present to the past and the future as Q (John de Lancie) forces him to solve a mystery that could determine the very fate of humanity.
“All Good Things” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation” Season 7 will be released on Blu-ray tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2.
