After fourteen years of development and a half decade as a potential TV series, “Powers” is finally ready to land.
Powers co-creator Brian Michael Bendis made the announcement that the live action “Powers” TV series will premiere on Tuesday, March 10 Playstation Network with the first three episodes of the series. The subsequent new episodes of “Powers” will be released one per week on Tuesdays. Additionally, the pilot episode of “Powers” will be free to watch online, but only PlayStation Plus members will get the full season.
Originally published as a comic book created by Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming in 2000, “Powers” takes place in a world in which superhumans are common and superpower related crimes are a daily occurrence.

District 9 star Sharlto Copley headlines “Powers” as Christian Walker, a former superhero turned homicide detective who specializes in cases involving superpowers. Susan Heyward plays Walker’s partner, Detective Deena Pilgrim.
“Powers” is being executive produced by Charlie Huston and Remi Aubuchon, with Bendis and Oeming also attached as producers. The first season of “Powers” will run for ten episodes.
