For fifteen years, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s creator owned comic Powers languished in development hell… until today.
The first three episodes of Powers have premiered on Sony’s Playstation Network. Powers is Playstation’s first original scripted drama and it could be just the beginning of an expanded programming schedule by Sony.

To promote the series, the first episode of Powers has been released on Youtube. The series stars Sharlto Copley as Detective Christian Walker and Susan Heyward as his partner, Detective Deena Pilgrim. Michelle Forbes costars as Retro Girl, with Adam Godley as Captain Cross and Eddie Izzard as “Big Bad” Wolfe.
Much like the original Powers comic book, the series takes place in a world where superheroes and supervillains are common. In this incarnation of the story, everyone knows that Walker used to be a superhero before he lost his powers. But real power lies within…
