Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has stated that he will return to television in the future at the helm of a new car show.
Clarkson was ousted from his position on the show by the BBC after physically assaulting one of its producers, with the broadcasting company choosing to not renew his contract. However, with news that his former co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond have decided to not continue with the show, too, the trio could make a move to another station, or even a streaming platform such as Netflix.

It was previously rumoured that Clarkson was weighing up a multi-million pound deal with Netflix, though this hasn’t been confirmed by either the company or the presenter. Taking to his Sunday Times column, Clarkson discussed him potentially heading another brand new show, writing:
Now that Clarkson, Hammond and May won’t be returning to Top Gear, it is suspected that they’ll host another car show with a different broadcaster.
After he was removed from Top Gear Clarkson claimed that he was unsure whether or not he’d ever return to TV, though later backtracked on his comments, saying: “Let’s stop being silly and pick up the pieces and start again… I just know I’m going to do another car show.”
Aside from Netflix there is also rumoured interest from the likes of Sky, who allegedly wish to bring Clarkson into the fold in order to host a car show on its Sky One channel.
