The Sensate are coming to Netflix.
In Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi series Sense8, eight strangers in eight different cities around the world are suddenly connected to each other in an inexplicable way. They hear each others’ thoughts, feel each others’ emotions and share specialized skills. They are no longer eight individuals. They are simply extensions of each other… and someone wants them all dead.
Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski and the Wachowski siblings have teamed up for Sense8, which features several genre veterans including Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe), Naveen Andrews (Lost), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Daryl Hannah (Blade Runner) and Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix).
Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen and Max Riemelt round out the main cast of Sense8, with Terrence Mann, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro and Ness Bautista as co-stars.
Netflix has premiered the first trailer for Sense8, which introduces a few of the main characters and demonstrates what they can do together even when separated by vast distances.
All 12 episodes of Sense8 Season 1 will premiere on Netflix on Friday, June 5.
