Actor Jamie Foxx recently suffered from a serious injury while celebrating his birthday last Friday. The Django Unchained star was commemorating his 57th birthday in Beverly Hills when a physical altercation broke out, resulting in him getting hurt. But what actually happened to the Academy Award winner?
Here’s everything you need to know regarding the brawl in Beverly Hills that inflicted an injury upon Jamie Foxx.
Jamie Foxx suffers injury during birthday party
On December 13, 2024, Foxx reportedly got involved in a heated scuffle at a Beverly Hills restaurant during his birthday celebrations.
The incident took place at Mr. Chow, a luxury Chinese eating establishment situated in the 300 block of N. Camden Drive. Explaining the injury-inducing squabble, a representative of the actor stated, “Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
As reported by CBS News, a task force was sent to the scene at 10:10 PM. The initial update mentioned assault and the involvement of a lethal weapon. However, the police discovered it to be a false proposition upon arrival. Instead, present officials reported that a physical dispute had taken place between two parties at the restaurant. However, they failed to provide details on what actually caused the aforementioned disagreement.
The news of Jamie Foxx’s injury comes just weeks after he revealed that he suffered from a “brain bleed that led to a stroke” last year in his latest Netflix outing, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was… In the hour-long special, the actor disclosed how he sustained a headache one day, which ultimately caused him to black out. As a result, Foxx was admitted to a hospital in April 2023.
At the time of writing, it is unknown if any arrests have been made in the aforementioned case involving Foxx.
