This Chef Makes ‘Shoe-Shi’ For The Sneakerhead Who Loves Sushi

One thing I can get down with is spending an evening out with Mrs. Fonz at a local sushi spot. We both might get dressed up for the occasion — she’ll wear a stunning outfit, and I’ll break out my favorite pair of Jordans. It’s an experience we enjoy as regularly as possible.

The sushi joints closest to us have always catered to our needs as best as they can, and we’ve enjoyed many a night stuffing ourselves with copious amounts of seafood. But there has never been a sushi chef that has catered to me and my sneaker addiction quite like this guy from Italy.

“Shoe-Shi” Chef Makes Sneaker-Themed Sushi

Yujia Hu has been known to make fine art out of his sushi preparations. He’s made NBA players likenesses out of the popular food in the past, but more recently, he’s been soaking up attention from sneakerheads with his latest efforts.

Hu posted a number of photos on his Instagram page, displaying various types of shoes made of sushi, from casual pairs to basketball sneakers. He even made a pair of Jordan 1s that make me A) hungry, and B) want a new pair of shoes.

(Warning: Basking in the glory with the following Instagram posts from Hu may make you hungry.)

Even if you’re not into sneakers, you have to admit this guy is pretty damn good at what he does.
