With summer creeping up, it’s time to start thinking about where you want to go on vacation. We’ve already told you what vacay hotspots in America totally suck, but which ones from around the world are the most dangerous? These should give you a good starting point on where not to go. 1. Venezuela
This beautifully biodiverse country has everything you'd need for a relaxing vacation: sun, beach, exotic women. But it also has a lot of things someone doesn't want in a vacation: kidnapping, murder, disease. It is so dangerous that four of its cities made the top ten in a ranking of the Top 50 Most Violent Cities. Brazil is also very violent. Basically, try to stay away from Latin America. unless you can afford to hire your own security (whom you are positive aren't working for drug lords). In which case, go and take lots of pictures. But if you can't afford bodyguards, maybe find another country with a beach and hot women.

2. Ramree Island, Burma
This is a fascinating spot that some WWII fans have probably heard about. There is a story that 1,000 Japanese soldiers were stationed on this island during WWII, but only 20 survived. But the supposedly 980 men weren't killed in combat...they were killed by saltwater crocodiles, scorpions, and mosquitoes carrying malaria. And just so you know, Ramree Island is still home to these one-ton crocodiles, venomous snakes, scorpions and mosquitoes. So... if you do visit, maybe just stay inside. No point in turning yourself into crocodile poop trying to get a sweet Instagram pic.

3. Kenya
I can understand why people would want to go. It's beautiful. Hell, seven years ago I went on a trip to central Africa and got to spend a day in Kenya. It was nice, but I'm never going back. The trip I went on was with some NFL players, so needless to say, we had bodyguards. I remember our armed guards asking if anyone in the group was gay, which I thought was strange, but then they explained that homosexuality is a capital offense in Kenya. Tourists also face an increased risk in robbery and violent crime according to the State Department.

4. Egypt
There are plenty of places in Egypt that are safe for travel, but the cities not on this list are probably not. Go check out the pyramids, or the Red Sea, but stay where it's safe. And even if it is safe, don't go. I mean, they're just pyramids.

5. Thailand
Thailand seems nice and all, but if I'm going to hang out on an island in the Pacific, I'm going to go with Hawaii. Thailand has a lot of cases of dengue fever, which is a leading cause of death and serious illness. And once you get it, there is no cure. There are no current travel warnings from the State Department, but there have been some random bombings in the past few years. Also, don't Google "Thai Lady Boys."

6. India
I recently watched Lion and thought, "India seems like a great place! If you are a lost and/or homeless child, it's great knowing random men will kidnap you and put you in an orphanage to be sold to rich Australians." I'm kind of joking, here. But in all seriousness, terrorism is on the rise, especially at the border by Pakistan, as well as cases of rape and sexual assault on foreigners.

7. Australia
Now, you can travel to Australia all you want and not have to worry about terrorism, sexual assault or being murdered, but it's everything else that will kill you. Every creature in Australia wants you dead. Hell, even the rocks want you dead! If you have the chance to go to Australia, go, but stay away from the wildlife!

8. North Korea
Sure, it may seem like a great idea to visit the most isolated country on the planet, but the U.S. Government warns against it. Not only because our countries don't get along, but also because you run the risk of being arrested and detained for long periods of time for things that would otherwise warrant a fine. If you have a hankering to visit Korea, just head to South Korea. Don't be stupid. Unless you're Dennis Rodman. If you're Dennis Rodman you can visit North Korea.
