Favorite TV Show Destinations:

Ireland and Iceland: Game of Thrones

This trip takes travelers to the more obscure, breathtaking locales of Iceland and Ireland privately guided by an official Game of Thrones location scout. Black Tomato will arrange a private tour of Jökulsárlón, Iceland’s glacier lagoon, where you can hike on the Svínafellsjökull glacier, the filming site of the “North of the Wall” shots familiar to Game of Thrones fans. Hop a Zodiac boat excursion along Jökulsárlón Lake and a get an insider’s look at Series 4 filming locations in the Þjórsárdalur Valley, an area known as “one of Iceland’s pearls of nature.” Crash at the five-star Loughe Eske Castle where you can partake in surfing, archery, kayaking, and canoeing in the lush countryside.

Utah: Westworld

Sci-fi thriller Westworld has given viewers a reason to reconsider Utah as a travel destination. With its red rocks and cinematic sky, you’ll want to make like a cowboy (albeit one on a luxury adventure). Black Tomato invites travelers to Sorrel River Ranch, a 160 acres situated alongside the Colorado River, cliffs, and mountain peaks of Moab. Take a ride in a vintage Bentley convertible along State Route 128 outside Arches National Park and straight into the heart of Westworld. Saddle up for a guided horseback tour around Dead Horse Point State Park, the same landscape where the mysterious Man in Black (played by Ed Harris) resided. After adventuring all day, enjoy farm-to-table cuisine back at the ranch.

Washington State: Twin Peaks

Okay, so Twin Peaks only exists in David Lynch’s imagination, but you can approximate a trip there by visiting the show’s filming sites in the Evergreen State. Start with Seattle and its legendary skyline before venturing out to the hilly expanse and snow-capped volcanic peaks of Olympic National Park. Check out Snoqualmie Falls, the iconic waterfall from the show’s opening credits, and get a feel for the eerie, green topography. A four-mile hike will get you to the summit of Mount Si for breathtaking views across the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Black Tomato’s guests stay at the Salish Lodge & Spa (or, as it’s known in the series, the Great Northern Hotel, home base of lead character, FBI Agent Dale Cooper). Owned by the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, this swank lodge serves a famous four-course country breakfast that includes honey from its own hives poured atop a homemade biscuit.

England and Scotland: The Crown

Britain’s royal family has ample experience with lavish accommodations. Make like Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown with a vacay in London, where Black Tomato guests can take in some of the monarchy’s favorite palaces including King Henry VIII’s St. James’s Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home at Kensington Palace, and the infamous Buckingham Palace. Travelers will even get an exclusive peek inside the royal closet! From London, jump on a quick flight to one of the royal family’s fave destinations: Scotland. Settle in at Gleneagles for a few nights among acres of lush green hills. Visit the lochs and estates featured in The Crown and play like the royals with fly fishing, shooting, archery, or a golf lesson with a resident pro.

Italy: The Young Pope

When planning your next adventure, go big or go home…or go like The Young Pope and experience la vita alta in Italy. Black Tomato’s trip offers the ultimate in Italian grandeur with private jet transport, exclusive access to the Vatican Museum with an expert guide, Michelin-starred dining, and a rock opera in the Palatine Hill. Sleep in the Eternal City at the five-star Hotel de Russie, tucked between the Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. Take the same stroll as the young Pope did through the gardens of Villa Medici or through the fashion mecca of Via Condotti. The tour concludes in Venice (just like the show) where travelers can admire the monumental art and architecture Italy is known for.
