Pop-ups are nothing new in the food and drink industry. It’s a great way for young chef’s get their name out there while allowing people to try their food without investing in a restaurant. All in all, it’s a great way to get started in the business while making your food and drinks a hot commodity. Usually, pop-ups take place in empty spaces and as part of a bar takeover. They aren’t usually at the top of one of the tallest buildings in New York City. But that’s exactly where Bronx Brewery’s newest pop-up is located.
Honestly, who wouldn’t want to drink a well-made craft beer on the 86th floor observatory at the Empire State Building? If you’re visiting the city (or live there) and want to enjoy a frosty brew in the same space iconic movies and television shows were filmed while enjoying a truly epic view, you can visit the pop-up Thursdays through Saturdays from now until October 30.

“We continue the 90th Anniversary celebration of the World’s Most Famous Building this fall in partnership with local favorite Bronx Brewery,” Jean-Yves Ghazi, president of the Empire State Building Observatory said in a press release. “With the implementation of our industry-leading indoor environmental quality, our guests can enjoy our new reimagined, immersive digital and tactile exhibits with confidence before they relax with an evening drink and the most spectacular 360-degree, open-air views that New York City can offer.”
If you decided to enjoy a pint with a view of the city that never sleeps, you can select from four beers: American Pale Ale, World Gone Hazy IPA, Smile My Guy IPA, and Das Bronx Oktoberfest. On top of that selection, to celebrate its 90th birthday, the Empire State Building’s STATE Grill and Bar will be selling $10 mini New York-style cheesecakes. We honestly can’t think of anything better than drinking a finely craft beer while enjoying some classic cheesecake while we overlook New York City.
