Meanwhile in Fast Food: Viral TikTok Videos Reveal Stomach-Churning McDonald’s Meal Prep, We’ll Take Ours To-Go

Fast food is one of those things you know is bad for you but that you just can’t resist. This is especially true of McDonald’s menu items. But the less you know about how those delicious Big Macs, Chicken McNuggets, and McRib sandwiches come to exist, the better off you are.

If your curiosity gets the better of you, however, there are viral TikToks circulating that expose how your Mickey D’s meal is prepped – and they’re stomach-churning.

Titled “How McDonald’s food works,” the video series reveals how frozen bricks of pork become sandwiches, processed cookies are reheated to appear fresh, and grimy griddles are used to cook your burgers. In short, things are pretty nasty behind those alluring golden arches.

In all of the videos, the food looks far from fresh – it barely looks like food at all – and the equipment used to prep it appears like it hasn’t been cleaned in decades. It’s gross enough to make you gag – or at the very least stop hitting up that drive-thru so often.

We don’t know about you, but after viewing these videos, we’re probably going to resist our Clown Town cravings next time and just cook something at home instead.
