During Marvel’s initial announcement about its All-New, All-Different relaunch, Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso said that Marvel would have a new Hulk coming out after Secret Wars.
Today, Marvel confirmed that at ComicBook.com by revealing the new creative team on Totally Awesome Hulk: writer Greg Pak and artist Frank Cho. But rather than reveal the new Hulk’s identity, the cover released by Marvel obscures his face.
“There will be no mystery about the Hulk’s identity once the book hits — you’ll find out who the new Hulk is on page one,” said Pak. “And it will indeed be totally awesome, and it will fuel everything that happens in the story.”
Pak has previously written the Incredible Hulk for Marvel, including the popular Planet Hulk and World War Hulk storylines. Given Pak’s involvement on the new Hulk book, it seems to give some credence to Bleeding Cool’s recent rumor that the new Hulk is someone that Pak co-created and used during World War Hulk.
“The book will be entirely accessible to brand new readers and to folks who are reading only this book,” added Pak. “At the same time, it will indeed be tied into the fabric of the ongoing Marvel Universe and will set some things in motion that will have pretty huge reverberations for many characters.”

Marvel also announced that its all-female Avengers book, A-Force will be relaunched after Secret Wars. And judging by the cover, it appears that this incarnation of the team will be in the new Marvel universe, as Captain Marvel, Dazzler, and Medusa are wearing their current costumes. She-Hulk, Singularity and Nico Minoru are also pictured alongside headshots of Marvel’s most iconic heroines.
The announcement was made at Glamour, where returning A-Force writer G. Willow Wilson said “It’s a fan’s dream to see these characters with very different background stories having to work together. And it’s very exciting to imagine what a world run by women would look like. There are a lot of moments about that — and then there’s giant sharks and punching things, too.”
Wilson’s A-Force co-writer, Marguerite Bennett will not be back, and it’s unclear if artist Jorge Molina will remain involved with A-Force when it returns.
Totally Awesome Hulk and A-Force will be published this fall.
