What TV Shows Do Conservatives and Liberals Both Love?

NBC’s This Is Us has already proven to be one of this fall’s biggest hits, and it has earned its two-season renewal. It’s quite an accomplishment for any show to breakout that quickly, but apparently This Is Us is also one of the rare series that appeals to both sides of the political divide.

Fizziology has released its 2017 TV audience report, and its conclusion is that the rare shows that are popular with both conservatives and liberals are This Is UsBull, Elementary, Secrets and Lies, SurvivorDesignated Survivor. So that’s two family dramas, a legal drama, a detective show, a thriller, and a reality show.

To allow viewers to understand these results, Fizziology has explained that it’s methods track audience trends across social media in real-time, and collects data from the various social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and Tumblr. From there, it’s analysts are said to “parse the conversation by gender, geography, key issues and themes, audience (psychographic, demographic and behavioral) and engagement.”
