#BoycottWB, Snyder Cut

The #BoycottWB Movement Is Against ‘The Flash’ Erasing Zack Snyder Cut of ‘Justice League’ (Which Side Do You Stand With?)

The Snyder Cut may have come to fruition in 2021, the wrath of the Snyderverse fandom is back in full force. Even though the superhero cup may runneth over these days,  Snyder fanboys can’t help but ruin the party. Despite the fact that Zack Snyder‘s vision for the DCEU has been dead for the better part of 4 years, somehow the #BoycottWB has somehow managed to gain traction on social media. Unfortunately, it seems that the Synder Cut may have only just been the beginning.

The hashtag came as a result of recent rumors that the upcoming Flash movie will effectively erase the “Snyder Trilogy.” It should be noted that this “scoop” comes from highly controversial youtube personality Grace Randolph, so all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. According to her unverified report, Randolph claims that Warner Brothers is planning to use the upcoming Flash movie to essentially wipe the slate clean,  starting with Zack Snyder’s films.

In addition to getting a “new” version of the Justice League, the report also claims that Supergirl and Batgirl will basically replace Batman & Superman. Despite just being a rumor, the Snyder bros have once again pulled out their social media pitchforks to crusade for a lost-cause ideology. What else would you expect from the kind of toxic fandom that feels betrayed by something that doesn’t fit their particular vision of that thing?

The funny part about the #BoycottWB movement is that Snyder fanboys were claiming that the DCEU is “dead” when in actuality, the DCEU has been dead for years now. If true, this is merely just another nail in the coffin. Even if it isn’t, this whole ordeal is just further proof that that characters like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are bigger than one actor or director.  It also proves how the internet has empowered childish fandoms to become entitled to things they don’t even own.
