They’re one of the most buzzed-about new acts of summer 2013…except then, you realize that the Dolls — the duo of world-famous DJ Mia Moretti and violin virtuoso Caitlin Moe (a.k.a. Margot) — aren’t really all that new — they’ve been collaborating together for years.
But behind their critically-hailed debut single “Summer of ’93,” the Dolls could be ready to bust out in a big way. Case in point — the Dolls were one of the star attractions at Saturday night’s Lollapalooza afterparty at Chicago’s Hard Rock Hotel, sponsored by BMF Media and ASOS.
The event was by far the biggest Lolla bash of the night, with a line snaking around the block just to get inside.
When we sat down to talk with Mia and Caitlin at the Bed Head Artist Retreat at Public Hotel Chicago before their Lollapalooza set, the girls were quick to point out the awesomeness of the current festival scene — and said it offers them some valuable insight that can even find its way into their music.
Check out what they had to say right here…and a big thanks to a friends at ElevatorMag for their assistance.
The event was also sponsored by ICING Jewelry, along with Belvedere Vodka and Peroni, who hooked up free drinks for the artists and guests.
