You Am I, Public Enemy Headline Golden Plains

You Am I and Public Enemy are heading the lineup of next year’s eighth Golden Plains festival.

Returning to Meredith for another year, Golden Plains has once again secured a number of top shelf acts to retain its status as one of Australia’s strongest regional musical festivals.

Headlining Golden Plains 2014 are hip-hop royalty Public Enemy, set to do the festival rounds in Australia including Tasmania’s Breath Of Life with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. You Am I have spent 2013 setting the country alight as part of the band’s Daily Double Tour, playing classic albums Hi-Fi Way (1995) and Hourly, Daily (1996).

You can catch Neko Case (The New Pornographers) on the back of her two hugely successful solo albums Middle Cyclone and The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You, plus The Drones and Cut Copy. New Zealand seven-piece and dubstep heroes Fat Freddy’s Drop are also part of the bill, as is Flying and his 3D 3.0 audio/visual spectacular and Flume friend Chet Faker.

Tickets to the three-day event cost $329 (includes booking fee)  and will be held over March 8-10 at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre.
