Every day throughout the month of October, William “Bibbs” Bibbiani from The B-Movies Podcast and Ryan Turek from Shock Till You Drop are reviewing a different theatrically-released horror movie based on the works of Stephen King. Day 31 brings everything full circle: Bibbs and Ryan began with Carrie, and now they’re ending with Carrie. Kimberly Peirce’s remake of Brian De Palma’s original 1976 classic once again tells the story of a telekinetic wallflower (Chloe Grace Moretz) who lashes out against her sadistic bullies, but now with a social networking subplot and a few key differences from the original film.
Is Peirce’s Carrie as good as Brian De Palma’s? Is it even fair to ask that question? Bibbs and Ryan make their final call on Kings of Horror.
Every single day in October, Bibbs and Ryan reviewed another theatrically-released film based on the acclaimed Stephen King’s novels, short stories and original screenplays.
