EA has revealed its projections for both the Xbox One and PS4 launch, predicting that both consoles will shift a combined 10 million units.
EA COO Peter Moore said of the prediction: “When I talked to our friends at both Sony and Microsoft, and I’m trying to get some indications in the numbers that are going to be available for sale by the end of our fiscal year on March 31 and I aggregate them, I think I can squint and see 10 million units combined, very easily.
“Both Sony and Microsoft are proposing that this could be their best launches ever as regards their production numbers and their ability to globalize this business quickly,” he added. “So we feel bullish about our ability of having five truly next-gen titles available for that.”
Microsoft has already gone on record to say that the Xbox One has got just as many pre-order sales as the PS4, though numbers released indicate that the PS4 is still leading the pack before both console’s launch in November, though not by a huge amount.
