Someone at the New York Post is in some serious shiz after falsely reporting that former NBA player Quinton Ross’ was body was found in a trash bag on a beach.
The bizarre line was announced on Twitter Monday causing a short but immediate stir amongst various outlets. Because the tweet was deleted soon after, the Washington Post put up a screen grab of what happened
The Washington newspaper also posted an update confirming that after speaking with Ross’ alma mater, SMU, the former player was completely fine.
So what happened?
Quinton Ross’s body was found on a beach, only it was a different Quinton Ross. That’s right — it wasn’t the former Clipper/Grizzly/Wizard/Net.
The New York Post would soon apologize.
Honest mistake or ridiculous? Maybe a little of both.
