DC's ever-expanding universe of animated features can be more than a little confusing for the uninitiated…is the film set in "New 52" DC continuity — or is it an out-of-canon offshoot like The Dark Knight Returns?
Well, now DC is throwing us another curveball, setting the upcoming Batman: Assault on Arkham movie in the universe of the Batman Arkham video games.
But whereever it's set, it's cool — and it's always nice to hear Kevin Conroy getting his Bat on.
And with Amanda Waller (voiced by the always awesome CCH Pounder) and the Suicide Squad holding a prominent place in the film, does that mean — as Crave gaming site Destructoid speculated — that the long-discussed Suicide Squad game could finally be in the pipeline?
Either way, it's worth a look at the fierce new trailer…no release date's been set yet, but look for Batman: Assault on Arkham on DVD and Blu-ray this fall.
