This just in — Kevin Durant is good.
No, really…he’s really, REALLY good.
Durant can’t do everything, but it’s pretty easy to see why you might think he can from his amazing performance Monday night that nearly gave his Oklahoma City Thunder a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven NBA playoff series with the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Thunder fell in overtime 111-105, but as the video evidence posted by Crave sports site NESN shows, Durant kept the Thunder in it with an incredible four-point play near the end of regulation to force those extra minutes.
Down five with less than 20 seconds to play, Durant takes a pass down in the corner, absorbs a foul from Memphis’ Marc Gasol, and still drains a gorgeous fall-away three to cut the Griz lead to 2.
Wow.
Durant sank the free throw to complete the four-point play before a Kendrick Perkins layup at the buzzer forced OT.
Memphis pulled away in overtime to tie the series, but in case you needed any more examples of Kevin Durant’s exceptional skills, you’ve got ’em now.
