Marriage Coming Soon to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, Wedding Outfit Designs Shown

Square Enix has been teasing for a while that marriage is coming to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Last year, director Naoki Yoshida shared images of what the wedding chapel will look like (these are in the gallery below) and even caused quite a stir by sharing that same-sex marriage may not be allowed. Now, we get a little sneak peak into what the bridge and groom will look like when they take the stage of their most important virtual life day ever.

In Japan’s latest Letter from the Producer, Yoshida shared that weddings will be added “very soon” to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. He even shared a drawing of what the tuxedo and wedding dress will look like. Check it out:

Weddings were in Final Fantasy XI, and surprisingly popular. It has been a widely requested feature in FFXIV since 1.0 came out several years ago.

Patch 2.3 will be arriving in short order, and as with previous patches will bring a lot of content including Ramuh, new weapons, equipment, and more. The long-awaited Gold Saucer and new jobs won’t be out until later, possibly 2.4.
