This Thursday night, Disney and Lucasfim are hosting an advance screening of “Star Wars Rebels” at Comic-Con. But you don’t have to wait until then to catch some new footage.
“Star Wars Rebels” follows the crew of the Ghost as they attempt to fight the ever-expanding Empire between Episode III & Episode IV. Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall) is the captain of the Ghost and she leads the crew alongside Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), one of the few Jedi Knights who survived the Order 66 purge. Also on the Ghost are a Lasat enforcer named Zeb Orrelios (Steve Blum), a Mandalorian warrior called Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) and C1-10P (Chopper), an Astromech droid unlike any that we’ve seen before.
Disney XD has released a new extended trailer of “Star Wars Rebels” that offers a good glimpse of the main characters and features a cameo by one of the leading characters of the Star Wars films. And in this trailer, Kanan and the crew of the Ghost become aware of Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray), a young boy with Force powers of his own. The trailer also teases the lead villain, the Inquisitor (Jason Isaacs), a Pau’an hand picked by Darth Vader himself to hunt down any remaining Jedi.

“Star Wars Rebels” was created by the animation dream team of Dave Filoni, Greg Weisman and Simon Kinberg. Additionally, Billy Dee Williams is also on the voice cast as he reprises his role as Lando Calrissian from the original trilogy.
Disney Channel will premiere “Star Wars Rebels” as a special event later this fall before the weekly series moves to Disney XD.
