Microsoft revealed as part of its Gamescom presentation today that the open beta for co-op sci-fi shooter Evolve will arrive in January of 2015. The beta will be an an Xbox One exclusive.
Additionally, gamers who choose to partake in Evolve‘s beta on Xbox One will have early access to DLC (yes, earlier than PS4 players), and will of course have the added benefit of carrying over data from the beta itself if developer Turtle Rock Studios decides to implement such a feature.

Also shown at the presentation was a short trailer for Evolve‘s “Distillery” map. Evolve is slated for release on February 10th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so make sure your monster hunting skills are sharp by next year. Or you could try some Monster Hunting in the meantime.
